The trial trenching, in 1983, of a Late Bronze Age artefact scatter discovered by field walking is described. Particular attention was paid to the evidence of topsoil finds and their relationship to subsoil features. Wendy Carruthers (78 & microfiche) reports on `Carbonised plant remains', Hugh H Carter (78 & microfiche) discusses `Animal bone', and Geoff Mees (76 & microfiche) details analysis of `Phosphates'. A report on `The bronzes', by Robin H Taylor (77-8, 80 & microfiche), is supplemented with `Bronze metalwork analysis', by Peter Northover (microfiche).
