Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
A discussion of Roman champlevé enamel colour composition from the first to fourth centuries AD, using the results of electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The extent of similarity between the recipe composition for each colour provokes the suggestion that there may have been independent enamel producing centres which traded with manufacturers across a wide area. | |||
