Abstract
Abstract
The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:
Relates the story of the open-air laboratory; mentions studies of sheep flocks (Soay, Mouflon) and cattle (Dexters), and a plan to restart the 'Iron Age pigs' breeding programme. The Soay sheep started to produce white-patched animals, and breeding from these yielded five white Soays. Attempts to run a flock of Old English Game fowl failed through repeated thefts. (Further information on the handling of Dexters is given in a letter to the editor in the September 1990 issue of Ark).
