Abstract:
The cave site of Las Caldas produced deer bone exhibiting striations that were though to be the product of deliberate working and were diagnosed as tensors. This analysis however, presents the striations as a product of natural processes involving bony tissue remodelling, and taking place during the lifetime of the animal concerned.
