Abstract:		 In 2002 an extensive scatter of prehistoric lithic material was located within a pipeline easement on the north Devon coast near Abbotsham. The vast majority of the material is of flint with a few pieces of chert, and there is a high proportion of debitage. The majority of the chronologically diagnostic artefacts are of Mesolithic date but there are potential Palaeolithic elements as well as Late Neolithic and Bronze Age material. The context for this material and its regional significance are discussed. Includes
