Abstract:
In 2007 the chapel was recorded in detail prior to internal replastering. It is noted that the chapel offers an unusually complete picture of a substantial manorial chapel of the late thirteenth century. Records of the building are considered, and evidence for the former presence of a medieval common rafter roof is described. A wider discussion of the chapel in the context of the development of the parish follows.
