Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Reports the discovery of four late seventeenth- or early eighteenth-century hoards, all in close proximity to each other. A total of 3,409 coins were found with a metal detector and were contained in four unusual pots. The depositor of the hoard may have been identified: the contemporary landowner was one John Walker, and it is possible that his and his spose's initials appear on one of the pots. | ||
