Abstract:
Sixteen years of field survey show main concentrations of Meso material on S-facing slopes on clay with flints, with other groups around springs on greensands and in downland valleys with availability of flint nodules. Chronology is based on typology. Assemblages varied in raw material used, contents, and intra-site organization. Chalkland settlement may have begun in the earlier Meso and may have ended before the end of the Meso period. F B
