Notes the results of excavations by MoLAS, carried out in the borough at the behest of English Heritage. The most interesting investigations are described as those at Edmonton Green, which revealed evidence of medieval and later occupation that may elucidate the post-Roman development of settlement alongside Ermine Street leading to the foundation of All Saints' Church. Also notes recent work by Enfield Archaeological Society at Forty Hall, near Maidens Brook. | ||||
