Abstract:
Summarises an excavation on part of a dormitory's undercroft at Chester Cathedral. Finds include a bone die, which possibly dates to the Romano-British period, but could be medieval. The excavation uncovered a possible drain, probably Roman in date. A pit was found, interpreted as a charnel pit, containing human bone including two skulls either Norman or Saxon in origin.
