Reports discoveries from the Minera lead mines at Wrexham. These include a pair of ore bins and associated dressing floors from the late-eighteenth to early-nineteenth centuries, the foundations of a nineteenth century steam powered horizontal winding engine and its boiler house. Organic remains survived in adjacent pits, possibly due to the accumulation of lubrication grease. Three forms of winding rope were preserved, along with the foundations of two tubular boilers. | |||||
