Abstract:
SO 137597 approx. The ring, which was picked up after ploughing, is of thick, rather crude wire formed into two coils. There was no evidence that it had been deliberately buried. A similar ring was associated with a gold 'Tara' torc in Lincolnshire, but probably more relevant are the bronze spiral finger-and toe-rings of EIA Britain. The crudity of finish however might suggest that the Glascwm example was an ingot ring rather than an ornament.
