A biocultural approach to analysis was applied to evidence from palaeopathology, archaeological plant and animal remains, and primary sources. The study found that the communities had statistically significant levels of stress indicators, and that the prevalence of infectious and metabolic diseases reflected the flora and faunal picture of unhygienic living conditions | ||
