Reports the re-excavation by Professor Sir Ian Richmond of the site first dug in 1892. Fresh details were revealed, but nothing negated interpretation of the building as a church with a TPQ of mid-3rd century. The W apse has good parallels elsewhere, the ?offering table is recorded in 5th-century Syria, and a small open-air platform to E may have been for ritual ablutions as in E Mediterranean. | ||||
