Summary of the third season of excavations undertaken at a multi-period site near Loftus, on the northern edge of the North York Moors. The paper presents the results of the 2006 excavations not covered in previous reports, along with an outline of the prehistoric features and finds from 2007 and some information about the Anglo-Saxon cemetery. Prehistoric features included a hearth-saltern associated with the manufacture of salt from seawater, and structures associated with the Iron Age settlement. | ||||||||
