Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	Diffusion theories cannot yet be completely abandoned and it may be possible to establish a link between communal burial practices in the Meseta and those in W France, via the W Pyrenees and the Loire estuary. The earliest S Portuguese passage graves could be as early as any Breton example. A few thermoluminescence dates have been obtained but will need confirmation from 14C dates.
