Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Reports two case studies using multiperiod, multistage surveys, with extensive and intensive strategies, for on- and offsite activity. At Knighton Bushes (Maddle Farm Project) an inverse correlation was revealed between survey results and habitation, because surface pottery was from a plough-scattered midden. Magnetic survey the following season gave good prediction of features. Development of the analytical and explanatory power of geophysical survey is needed, to upgrade it from mere site location. |
