Abstract:
NZ 314156. Rescue excavation within a 2-acre rectangular area surrounded by a dry ditch revealed traces of two houses. One was an aisled hall; the other, which followed it on a different site, was a three-bay single span timber-framed structure with stone tiles on the roof, not earlier than late 14th century. Pottery is probably of later 13th and 14th centuries.
