Abstract:		 A small excavation revealed eight archaeological features that may represent part of a fairly modest rural settlement, perhaps a small farmstead. Occupation was relatively short lived, with pottery dating from between AD 50 and 90. Finds reports include: `The pottery' by Jane Timby (156--8), `Faunal remains' by Kevin Reilly (159), `The metalwork'[Roman iron], `The stone' [a quern fragment] by David Williams (159), and `Worked flint' [undated] by Steve Ford (159).
