Reports investigations at a late-twelfth-century Tironian priory near Milford Haven. The structure appears to have been of moderate size and to have exhibited a fully developed conventional plan based around a cruciform church, of which only the chancel arch and part of the south transept now survive. Some thirty-one inhumations were revealed, only one of which exhibited evidence of a coffin. A high incidence of grave superimposition suggests that space within the cemetery was at a premium. | |||||||||
