Abstract
Abstract
The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:
Relates the results of a watching brief near to the site of one of Roman London's gates. Part of a Roman ditch (outside of the city wall) was observed, which was backfilled and contained pottery datable to between 300 and 400 AD. The quantity of demolition material within the backfill suggests that the city wall may have been substantially modified during the second half of the fourth century.
