Abstract:
The hoard of twenty-three coins is not of 6th century, as claimed twenty years ago, but was concealed AD 276-86. It contains quite normal copies of the coinage of the Gallic Empire (radiate crown), and cannot therefore be used to support theories of Dark Age occupation here. See also 79/6015.
