Abstract:		 Nine evaluation trenches were sunk in advance of work to convert the site into a playing field. A Meso backed blade and ?Meso blade segment or waste flake were found, along with postholes and gullies (one containing Roman brick/tile) possibly representing RB buildings. A mitigation strategy was proposed to protect the Meso soil horizon and possible RB structural features.
