TL 654755. The iron sword and incised and punched bronze scabbard were harrowed up in 1976. The bronze composition was analysed and SEM examination of the sword revealed a piled structure. The scabbard is a native product comparable with Witham and Battersea examples of 1st century BC. Votive deposit in old river bed? | |||||
