Abstract:		 Continuing excavation concentrated on the praetentura, where location of the Flavian granary proved an earlier suspicion that the administrative buildings of this period lay to N of the via principalis - an arrangement reversed in the Antonine fort. A probable verandah of a Period II barracks was found in the N corner. For period III (late 3rd/early 4th century) the NE end of Barrack I was found to have escaped plough destruction and two-three courses remained. The stabling of horses in it was evidenced by a mucking-out drain and some horse-teeth; the late period detachment housed in the fort must therefore have been part-mounted. There may also have been a workshop in this building. Appended is a catalogue of period III pottery from the stables.
