Abstract:		 Reports results of excavations at one of at least four barrows in this area, excavated approximately twice before by antiquarians. There are specialist reports on `The human inhumations' by Gillian Stroud (17--18), `The human cremations' by Jacqueline McKinley (18--19), `The animal bones' by John Barnatt (19), `The bone pin' (19) and `The copper alloy awl' (19--20) both by Julien Parsons, `The prehistoric pottery' by Pauline Beswick (20--2), `The lithics' by Andrew Myers (23), and `Medieval and post-medieval finds' (23) including iron and pottery by Howard Jones and a jetton by Julien Parsons.
