Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Observations during building work, together with some controlled excavation, provided information about a 20-acre site containing a number of rectangular enclosures, presumably stockyards, in use from about 100 BC to AD 250. Two pottery kilns of 1st century AD and three lime kilns were also found, but Hardwick was neither a major potting area nor a 'creeping' settlement. | ||
