Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
An inventory of twenty-one decorative fragments which can help to shed light on the appearance of Roman towns and on the organization of an important trade within the province. Columns, capitals and entablatures etc are discussed and the choice of materials and methods of manufacture dealt with. Group A masonry is recognizably classical and public; Group B, much further removed from classical models, probably reflects private building. | ||
