A synopsis of the work of the national archaeological bodies, city, county, district and regional organisations during 1991. Research projects, funding, SMR developments, details of publications and contact addresses are given. Some political aspects of `Stonehenge past and present' are explored by Mark Edmonds & Barbara Bender (120--2), James Pickering contributes `Aerial archaeology: some further thoughts' (122--4), a Cambridgeshire perspective on `Managing monuments in an arable landscape' is given by Alison Taylor (124--7) and Chris Arnold offers a word of warning about some American organisations offering support for archaeological projects in `I want to volunteer!' (127--9). |
