Abstract: |
A comprehensive regional study, which identifies twenty industries (including BB1 producers) having all or most of their wares built-up by handworking technology, without use of a tournette or fast-wheel. The study produces dated typologies of the respective products of these industries and discusses the evidence for their pot-building and firing technologies, exploitation of raw materials and distribution mechanisms. |
