Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	SH 968757. Several additional sections were cut through the rampart, samples of charcoal were obtained for 14C determinations, and eight hut-hollows were explored. The old short chronology has been greatly lengthened by the interpretation of the 14C dates, and the guard-chambers link Dinorben with forts like Rainsborough. Appended are discussions of EIA metallurgy in N Wales, the date of the N Wales shield bosses, coins, charcoals, animal bones and small finds (see also 72/1399).
