Abstract: |
After paying tribute to Beatrice de Cardi's quarter century of service to the CBA, the lecturer projected a new direction for British archaeology based on the American concept of `cultural resource management'. We must no longer be content with rescue-digging a tithe of our archaeological sites; instead we should be pressing for the perpetual preservation of the best examples. |
