Prehistory in this region is dominated by Bronze Age barrows and cairns; burial cists and Iron Age defensive works are absent. Numerous open settlements are identified, some associated with field systems etc. In all, 221 entries. A second edition of List 2, Cumbernauld & Kilsyth District and Strathkelvin District, has also been issued (1982, expanded and revised from the 1978 edition: now 86 entries). |
