Abstract:
Gives the full data for the five climatological stations controlled by the Ancient Farm (two at Little Butser, one each at Hillhampton, Fishbourne Roman Palace, and Wroughton (Swindon)). The year was distinguished by extremes of temperature, rainfall, and wind, including the Great Storm of 16 October; and all the extremes occurred at periods critical to the farming year.
