Abstract: |
Discusses the network and some key sites in it - Usk, Kingsholm, Cardiff, Abergavenny, Kentchurch, Clyro, Clifford, Walton. Sudbrook was clearly occupied by the Roman army. The system was linear, following valleys and related to native centres. By the time of Vespasian's reign conditions had changed and their was no more strong Welsh resistance; Usk gave way to Caerleon. |
