Abstract: |
Archaeological recording and monitoring work was conducted in advance of a proposed development. Three buildings were recorded, a pair of stone store buildings, one with an attached horse-gin, and a brick water tower. Both the stone sheds and the gin-house appeared on the first edition OS map of 1866, the water tower was of 20th century date. They were typical examples of 19th century farm buildings and there was no evidence that they incorporated or re-used any earlier masonry or structures. [Au(adp)] |
