Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment identified that the proposed development site had suffered little disturbance prior to its post-war develpment, and had been part of a pasture field since at least 1826. Evidence for nearby Neolithic and Bronze age activity, the proximity to the Roman road and the area's Saxon and medieval antecedents suggested that the area had been in occupation for a very long time.
