Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation was undertaken at the site. Late Saxon pits, a gully and a series of pits were identified, sealed by a medieval soil (1250-1300 AD). The site was then abandoned, possibly due to environmental conditions. A 17th-18th century clay lined tanning pit was also identified. [Au(abr)] |
