Abstract: |
The drilling of three boreholes, located at the front and to the rear of the properties, was observed. The rear area overlay compact clay deposits and probable masonry structure, which together possibly represented a rampart butting the Roman legionary fortress wall. The front of the properties were shown to be built on friable, moist deposits, probably formed during medieval and post medieval periods. [Au(abr)] |
