Abstract: |
An underground stone-lined channel was revealed during the excavation of several large deep holes at the south end of Bath Lane Sewage Works. The channel was running north-south for about 50 metres and was aligned towards the north facade of the nearby Bath Mill, an 18th century textile mill. It was suggested that the channel was part of a tailrace coming from the river Maun and opposite the centre of the mill. [Au(adp)] |
