Abstract: |
<summary>A watching brief carried out during a continuing programme of drainage works encountered the top of a Roman wall approximately 0.6m wide. Above the surface of the wall, the fill contained occasional wood chippings and several small timber piles. In the next phase of the work, a wooden coffin was uncovered 5m to the south of the wall, but left {italon}in situ{italoff}.
