The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Excavations and watching briefs were undertaken during a major programme of rebuilding of catering facilities in the Tiltyard, Hampton Court Palace. The results mainly related to the post-medieval and later use of the site for kitchen and ornamental gardens. Evidence for the initial layout of the gardens was recovered, but extensive reworking of the soils made dating and interpretation difficult, and some important stratigraphic relationships had been destroyed. The small size of the trenches also imposed limitations on the value of the data recorded. [Au(abr)]
