Abstract: |
The watching brief was carried out in advance of the re-laying of the forecourt, as well as the installation of new drainage. Two stone structures were revealed that predated the east collonade at the front of the main house. They were of 18th century or earlier date. 19th century brick-built culverts were also found to be inserted into the remains of an earlier 18th century terrace gravel surface. [Au(abr)] |
