Abstract: |
No evidence for medieval activity was found on the plot. The earliest activity appears to have been digging of large quarry pits for sand extraction. The largest pit was the only one datable and this seems to have started to be filled in from around 1700. Later features included a 20th century pit full of brick rubble and a modern post hole.
