Abstract: |
During the excavation of the road corridor, large quantities of later post-medieval and modern debris were revealed, including pottery and glass vessels, animal bone and a variety of ceramic building materials. Although the depth of ground disturbance associated with the access road was not great, traces of possible medieval walls and a small though significant medieval pottery assemblage had been recovered.
