Abstract: |
During the course of the watching brief no archaeologically significant remains were revealed. It was assumed that the Saxon shoreline to the south of Hamwic lay somewhere below the depth that was reached, 1.75m. Apart from the 19th century buildings along Canute Road no evidence of human activity before the 20th-century was found.[Au(abr)] |
