Abstract: |
The present interpretation of the archaeological features indicated a series of adjoining ditched enclosures, aligned north-south and central to the earthworks, with a trackway to their east. A north-south drain, effectively separating the field into two equal portions cut these. A possible hollow way fragment formed part of the western boundary, leading from a common edge feature in the north-west. This western boundary lead southwards towards the part-moated manorial site, whilst the suggested second platform to the east looked perhaps less convincing on the new survey. [Au] |
