Abstract: |
<summary2>A watching brief was maintained during the excavation of a narrow trench intended to accommodate two electrical junction boxes, on land to the rear of Gilstrap Library and within the Scheduled area of Newark Castle (Scheduled Ancient Monument, Nottinghamshire 3). Brick foundations of the library were revealed and one fragment of animal bone found. No archaeological deposits were disturbed in the course of the excavations. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
