Abstract: |
The areas excavated for the foundation trenches covered by this watching brief contained extensive 18th and 19th century deposit layers. These layers extended up to 3m south of the house and so could represent the remnants of foundations of another 18th-19th century building attached to the present house to the south, on the site of the present modern house extension, but since destroyed.
