Abstract: |
A magnetic susceptibility geophysical survey was undertaken in advance of a proposed housing development. The survey did not identify any magnetic anomalies that were considered likely to have had an archaeological origin. Anomalies were identified, but modern or geological causes were thought to have been the most likely explanation for the observed responses. Modern dumping on the site could have masked magnetic response from an archaeological feature. On the basis of the survey results the archaeological potential of the site was considered have been low. [Au(adp)] |
